Questions, answered

Clear terms make better partnerships.

The exact scope is documented before kickoff. These answers explain the standard subscription model.

Is there an upfront design or development fee?

Standard plan scopes are built into the subscription, so there is no large traditional website invoice at kickoff. The first month begins the engagement. Unusually large migrations, e-commerce, custom applications, accelerated timelines, or specialized integrations may require a separately approved setup fee.

How long is the commitment?

The standard model uses an initial 12-month term so there is enough time to plan, design, build, launch, and support the website responsibly. After the initial term, the service can continue under the agreed renewal terms.

What do I own?

You retain ownership of your domain, business content, brand assets, customer leads, and analytics accounts. Transfer rights for the custom website build are documented in the service agreement; third-party licensed components remain subject to their own license terms.

What counts as a monthly update?

Routine updates include text, images, hours, offers, team details, service information, page sections, and similar design or content changes. New systems, large page groups, e-commerce functionality, and complex integrations are scoped separately before work begins.

Does unused update time roll over?

Standard update allowances reset each month so support capacity remains predictable. Planned larger improvements can be scheduled across multiple months or quoted as a defined project.

What does “legal compliance” include?

Affiati implements accessible front-end practices, consent tools, policy links, form disclosures, and legal language supplied or approved by the business. Affiati is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or guarantee compliance across every jurisdiction.

Are third-party costs included?

Managed website hosting and the standard technical stack are included. Domain registration, business email, paid advertising, external legal counsel, premium third-party platforms, transaction fees, paid stock media, and specialized software remain separate when needed.

How quickly can a website launch?

Most standard launches take roughly three to six weeks after the required content, access, and approvals are available. Complexity, feedback speed, integrations, and migration requirements can change the schedule.

Can I change plans later?

Yes. A business can move to a higher level when page scope, update demand, locations, integrations, or strategic needs increase. Downgrades are reviewed against the active website scope and current service agreement.
